I have some very exciting news to share with you! I’m absolutely delighted to announce that I’ve been invited by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts to be one of the artists teaching on her brand-new course, A Year of Wild Nature.
And I have to say, this course feels like such a wonderful fit for me.
I’ll be joining Tamara and 32 incredible guest artists from around the world, each bringing their own creative style, ideas and interpretation of nature to this year-long artistic adventure.
Of course, I’ll be bringing some Lordy Dordie colour, botanicals, pattern, mark-making and lettering along with me!
What is A Year of Wild Nature?
Beginning 1 January 2027, A Year of Wild Nature is a year-long mixed-media art course inspired by the natural world and our own sense of wildness.
Throughout the course, we’ll explore botanicals, animals, landscapes, seasons, colour, texture, intuition, symbolism and creative freedom.
With 65+ mixed-media classes and creative sessions, taught by Tamara and 32 guest artists, there will be lots of different styles, techniques and ideas to inspire you.
The lessons are recorded, so you can work through them at your own pace, with lifetime access to the course content and Taster Session materials.

Before the full course begins, there’s a wonderful A Year of Wild Nature Taster Event happening from 1–9 October 2026, with access extended until 14 October.
There are 30+ completely free creative sessions, plus teacher gifts, giveaways and a dedicated Facebook group where you can connect with other creative people from around the world.

🎨 My free session: Wild Words & Lettering — “Creativity Grows Here”
For my Taster Session, I’ll be sharing a colourful mixed-media project combining expressive botanicals, colourful layers, mark-making and hand-painted lettering.
It’s suitable for different experience levels and is all about having fun, experimenting and letting your creativity grow.
I’ll also be sharing my free Wild Botanicals Inspiration Colouring-in Sheet for you to enjoy.
